Ravalomanana underscored the longstanding and fruitful partnership between China and Madagascar, with both countries collaborating on various development initiatives. He pointed to significant infrastructure projects, such as solar-powered lighting along new roads, which have had a positive impact on rural communities. Additionally, he noted China's role in helping Madagascar become self-sufficient in rice production.

Lastly, Ravalomanana discussed Madagascar's environmental challenges, particularly the reckless exploitation of natural resources and pollution. Drawing from China's experience in environmental protection and sustainable development, he expressed hope that China could help Madagascar improve its resource management and environmental preservation.
